Every detail of the R9, from its well proportioned positioning, padded saddle and front suspension, to it's hydraulic brakes, complete with a brake lever and safety "power cut" function, has been designed with style, comfort and durability in mind. It is also equipped with a Bafang 250w hub motor and Shimano Altus 9 speed gear set with 6 pedal assist levels. These components make this model suitable for all terrains, not to mention being able to get to work, or anywhere else without breaking a sweat.

Step-throughs are designed to require a lower range of mobility, making them ideal for cyclists with restricted movement and also riders that need to mount and dismount frequently. The R9 is no exception with lowest crossbar point coming in at a mere 10 inches above ground level.

With its blue illumination, the LCD will keep you up to date with your mph, energy consumption rate and battery life. It is worth noting it has a fast charging Samsung lithium battery with a 45 mile range*. This new and improved version of the R9 is supplied fully kitted out with a front light, rear carrier, steel mudguards and bell.

The technology side of the bike is maintenance free and very reliable, which means you can take your electric bike in for routine servicing at any good quality bicycle shop throughout the UK or better yet use the Bike Shed Online Mobile Mechanic Service.

Warranty 

MerkyBikes electric bikes comes with a two year warranty covering the frame, motor and battery. Electronic components such as electronic cabling, LCD display, throttle and electronic brake cut off's also have a 2 year warranty. There is a 1 year warranty on the charger, lights and all non-wearing mechanical parts,

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

Contractual warranty excludes damage or defects caused by: abnormal use, lack of maintenance, accidental damage, prolonged exposure to moisture or liquid.

- Damage caused by incorrect maintenance
- External factors such as shocks, lightning storms, current surges, short circuit, etc
- Damage caused by excess exposure to the elements (e.g. rust caused by not storing bike indoors)
- Modification of electrical components or any modifications (e.g. additions not included when bought)
- Paint, varnish and bike graphics
- Wearing parts such as tyres, brake pads, brake cables, handle bar grips, freewheels etc.
- Spokes

If the end consumer's electric bike is intended for commercial use ( e.g. rental company, messenger service), the warranty period lasts 12 months. Certain warranty exclusions may occur, but please discuss with the manufacturer.

WARRANTIES ARE NON TRANSFERABLE.  WARRANTY COULD BE VOID IF GUIDELINES ARE NOT FOLLOWED.
